Love and Laughter

December 3, 2009

It’s been awhile, I’ve been ”afk” but now I’m back.
Hope everyone had a blessed Ramadan, wonderful Eid, Happy Thanksgiving and for those celebrating Christmas, it’s not far off either!
Personally, I had a lovely Eid, ate too much food, laughed with family and am preparing now for Christmas!

Yummy Yummy! Garlic Mushrooms!

August 21, 2009

This is a simple recipe, great for a starter or light brunch! Heat oil over high heat at 375 degrees.

Prepare batter. Mix up corn starch flour, a little baking powder, little salt, some garlic and butter and blend in a bowl with milk. Carefully dip the mushrooms in flour, then in the batter – coating completely. If batter gets too thick, add more water or milk a little at a time. Fry 6 or 8 mushrooms at a time in hot oil until golden, about 5 minutes. Drain on absorbent paper.

You can add a simple side salad with this and if you forgot to make it, you can keep the mushroom warm in an oven, it might also help to drain out some of oil!
Enjoy!

Tonight ……The Hangover

August 12, 2009

ALL My posts have gone.
My past has been erased.
I’m glad.

I took the decision to delete all my previous posts. They were a different me, an unhapy me, an unsatisfied me.
The plans for tonight are as follows…

Tortellini Salad with Shrimp – made from scratch by Madame Tortellini, followed by ‘The Hangover’ – top movie of the summer 2009.

I’m excited.. it’s been a long time since I just lay on my butt and did absolutely nothing.

Of course, I have two loads of washing to finish and iron…then.. I can relax 🙂
